The Connections Museum offers excellent guided tours hosted by engineers and telephone enthusiasts. It is the site of a former telephone exchange building which now functions partly as a data exchange for local Internet infrastructure. You can see a real telephone switchboard demonstration and learn about the operators and technicians who made phone calls work behind the scenes.
For 25 points, take a selfie from your visit and write a 250-word reflection. Consider how changing infrastructure alters our experience of technology, and how certain technologies hide their own operations.
